The Indian government is sending experts to assist the Central Electricity Board (CEB) in energy planning, regulatory development, and renewable energy projects. Mauritius aims to generate 60% of its electricity from renewables by 2030 and is working on expanding its energy mix, including green hydrogen. India’s support is also sought for piloting and scaling renewable projects, such as a small-scale pilot at a reservoir. India's contributions include the 8 MW Solar PV Farm at Henrietta, which will reduce 13,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually, reinforcing the strong bilateral partnership.
