Partners with Hitachi Energy to deliver HVDC converter stations for North Sea grid.

L&T to Build Key Infrastructure for TenneT’s Offshore Wind Network in Europe. Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has secured a major international contract to supply critical infrastructure for TenneT’s High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) offshore wind network across the North Sea. Partnering with Hitachi Energy, L&T will design and deliver HVDC converter stations to strengthen renewable power transmission between Germany and the Netherlands. The project marks a strategic milestone for L&T’s global clean energy portfolio, reinforcing its presence in large-scale sustainable infrastructure. S. N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director, said the collaboration reflects global confidence in L&T’s engineering and project execution capabilities. Subramanian Sarma, Deputy Managing Director, added that the partnership validates the company’s leadership in complex HVDC projects. L&T’s offshore wind business is supported by multidisciplinary expertise, global alliances, and modular fabrication facilities, positioning it as a key player in the renewable infrastructure value chain.
